Project Memoir/Other things by on Thu Aug 12, 2010 12:22 am

Our new project, currently called Project Memoir, is now under way. The story followed Solita, a young woman who is returning to her old hometown in the Caribbean and finding it different from her childhood memories. The city has many strange features that she can't remember, and a looming darkness that seems to be everywhere, yet no one notices it.

We're still in the early stages, but things are planned out, and progress is getting made. And it's not all sitting on Ryan's computer, waiting to be corrupted.

Also, I am about to start pushing through my changes to the site, trying to make it more of a hub for all our actions. You'll know when that happens.

Gaming Parodies Reboot by on Tue Apr 06, 2010 7:17 am
Obviously, nothing has happened since Adrian 'ended' the beta test. And now I want to start working on rebuilding the main site. I've got some ideas, considering what's been going on with Ryan and the other staff members, and want everyone's opinion. Unfortunately, no one is being helpful on Skype. I want everyone's opinion as to what we should include on our website considering the interests and projects of the GP staff. The things we are considering:

Game development
Video creation (dubs and original projects)
Podcasting
Music composition
Writing

These are the larger projects that we plan to work on. Not all of these need something special, but considering that the current website model is a forum, things might need to change. I want everyone's opinion on what the website should look like. If you notice anything that I've missed on this list, please post about it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Re: Website Downtime by on Thu Mar 11, 2010 8:26 pm
I'm sorry for the website problems that have been going on. I was trying out a new system for the website using Wordpress, but after a few days I've decided it's not going to work. I apologize for the problems it caused.

We Aren't Dead Yet! by on Tue Feb 16, 2010 4:53 am
This is your sort-of-monthly update to let you know that things are still going, just not here. Yet. They're all at the YouTube page in the previous post. There will be a discussion sooner or later about the website, and its use in the general scheme of things.

If you have any suggestions as to additions to the site, please let us know on the forums. Have a great week!

Just wanted to let you know that in the coming weeks things will start to get going, and we will start to see new content being added in all of our different places. But for now, we're all going to take a break and enjoy the winter! At least, until school starts up again.

Be safe, and happy holidays!

To cover what's going on with us... by on Sat Dec 12, 2009 12:41 am
Last I talked to Ryan, this is what he had to say about what happened on YouTube:

Quote:
Video game companies quickly struck a bit stingingly on us. They were deleting videos t oalready released games under things that made no sense, like I posted a video of the New Super Mario Bros Wii final boss, it got 20,000 views in one day then some company made to stop piracy in video games removed it though the game was out and it was not pirated or anything, then Capcom was just removing all Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles videos generally though it was already released and banning people for that, so we got straight back to two strikes which defeated the purpose of PalaceofParodies, but not wanting to drag people to another account, I just posted one video I knew would get us banned then would complimate on what to do after it's occurence

As soon as we figure out what we're going to do, it will get done, and we will let you know here.

Happy Birthday Gaming Parodies! by on Fri Dec 04, 2009 6:05 am

I forgot to mention this when the time came around. It was on November 26, 2005, that Blackarms Studios was officially founded. Happy fourth birthday, Gaming Parodies!

Let's look back in time, and see what the first posts on the website were...

Welcome by Three60 on Nov. 26 2005
Welcome to the new Blackarms Studios Website! We are still working on setting up, but we hope to be done soon.

New Page by Three60 on Nov. 26 2005
We now have a working page for Shadow the Hedgehog - Symbols of Destiny. It also gets its own Nav bar here.

Remade Page/New Pics by Three60 on Nov. 27 2005
We have redone the header for our site, so now it has a better pic of Black Doom.
Also, we now have no borders between the sections on this page. It will soon be the same on the site for SoD.

Lastly, we have added some new pictures of SoD. You can see them here. It won't open a new page, but you can click on the link to the SoD site in our nav bar.

Updates are sure rolling in, huh?

Anyway, we have added some new pics for Symbols of Destiny. Most of them are of the new level, Water Ruins. There are two of them that are for the first level. You'll see what they are in the Pics page.

Also, I redid the pics page to be an archive. Now we got all the pics on there own pages.

Website Merge by Three60 on Nov. 27 2005
In the continued attempt to make Blackarms Studios look better, I decided to merge the main site and any projects we are working on into one page. This way you don't have to jump from one page to another all the time. It's all right here.

Added Features by Three60 on Nov. 30 2005
We have made the pics page a bit easier to use. Now, instead of it being a lot of extra work to see the pics full-sized, you can just click on them to get the to fill the screen. It will still leave open the menu and the header, but the main screen will have the pics in them when you click on them.

You also can now go to the Staff page and send us emails! Anyone who has their name underlined can be contacted there. It says what they do next to their name, so you'll know who to send what to.

Now that we've gathered some posts together, we will soon be creating an Archive page. It will hold any post that has been made here by month and year. So all the posts from when we started the site to today will go in one page. That page will most likely be called November 2005. They will be in order, like on the site.

I'm not sure why there's something from the 27th in the middle of those other two, but that's how it's shown in our archived websites. If you want to see what we looked like soon after launch, head over to http://bas.yagaboosh.com/bas_1_0 and find out! I think you'll agree that we've moved in a much better direction.

Home page complete (finally)! by on Wed Dec 02, 2009 11:24 pm
I have now established the home page as I think it will stay for some time. It will appear in all boards as a locked global announcement, as well as on the home page in a more traditional manner. The links on the left of the site have been updated accordingly. Thank you for your patience with this.

Also, while I'm here, we will hopefully be getting a bit more integration with the site shortly, such as a downloads section, video section, and more fleshed-out ParodyCast section. If you have any suggestions for these things, please head over to the Official Site Redesign thread. Thanks!

The New Home Page! by on Mon Sep 28, 2009 5:25 pm
Well, sort of. I have begun merging the main site with the forum, so that there is a single CMS (content management system). This means we are one step closer to being able to host all the things we want to host on our own.

I will be working on such things as hosting videos and downloads here shortly, as well as other things. If you have anything you want me to work on, please send me an e-mail.

News by on Thu Sep 10, 2009 11:29 pm
This will be, from now on, the official news section of Gaming Parodies. In this way it will be merged with the user interface in a much happier fashion. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Currently it remains unmerged, but that will change soon, I hope.
